Lynn A. Cornelius was named the Winfred A. and Emma R. Showman Professor in Dermatology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She has been serving as chief of the division of dermatology at the medical school. Dr. Cornelius specializes in the treatment of melanoma. She also serves as the co-director of the medical school’s new Center for the Study of the Itch.
Dr. Cornelius is a graduate of the University of Delaware. She received her medical training at the University of Missouri.
Kathleen Carroll was appointed the Albert E. Kent Professor of Psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine. She has been a full professor at the medical school since 2002. Dr. Carroll’s research focuses on methods to improve the effectiveness of addiction treatments.
A summa cum laude graduate of Duke University, Dr. Carroll holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Minnesota.
Donna Fick was named a Distinguished Professor at Pennsylvania State University. She is the only woman among 10 faculty members awarded the honor of being named Distinguished Professor. Dr. Frick is a professor of nursing and co-director of the John A. Hartford Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence at Penn State. She is also the editor of the Journal of Gerontological Nursing.
Dr. Fick is a graduate of Berea College in Kentucky. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati and a Ph.D. from the University of California at San Francisco.
