New Leader for the University of Virginia’s College at Wise

Donna P HenryDonna Price Henry was named the eighth chancellor of the University of Virginia’s College at Wise. The liberal arts institution was founded in 1954 as the Clinch Valley College of the University of Virginia. Today, it is the only branch campus of the University of Virginia. The college enrolls about 2,000 students and offers 30 major degree programs.

Dr. Henry, a biologist, has served since 2005 as dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Meyers. She has been on the faculty there for the past 16 years.

Dr. Henry is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in the biology of behavior and minored in Spanish. She holds a Ph.D. in physiology from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
