The University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music announced the appointment of six new faculty members this fall. Two of the six new faculty are women.
Hagit Limor Sunberg is a new assistant professor of electronic media. She is an investigative reporter for WCPO-TV in Cincinnati. She has served as national president of the Society of Professional Journalists.
Sunberg holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
Sydney Schnurr was appointed assistant professor of arts administration. She was the associate director of development at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. She has been an adjunct professor at the Conservatory of Music for the past three years.
Schnurr holds a bachelor’s degree in American studies from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in arts administration from the University of Cincinnati.
With more than 30 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Richtermeyer has spent the past three years as executive vice chancellor for academic affairs and provost at Rutgers University-Camden
Cheryl Norman was appointed president of Ridgewater College in Minnesota and Ellen Kennedy was named interim president of Cape Cod Community College in Massachusetts.
Dr. Scarlatta has led the University of Michigan-Dearbon on an interim basis for the past year. Pending approval from the board of regents, she is slated to become the university's permanent leader on May 22.
Nicole Reaves has been serving as executive vice president and chief programs officer at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina. On July 15, she is slated to become the first woman president of Schenectady County Community College within the State University of New York System.
The selected candidate should have expertise and experience in theoretical models in labor and public economics as well as in microeconometrics and programming.
