Four Women Scholars Appointed to Dean Positions

Shelley Nuss has been appointed dean of the School of Medicine at the University of Georgia. She currently serves as dean of the Augusta University and University of Georgia Medical Partnership, a joint regional medical campus in Athens, Georgia.

Dr. Nuss graduated with honors from Purdue University in Indiana where she majored in pharmacy. She received her medical degree from West Virginia University.

Pamela Moye has been named interim dean of the College of Pharmacy at Mercer University in Georgia. She has been with the university since 2007, currently serving as chair of the department of pharmacy practice and chair of the College of Pharmacy’s diversity, equity, and inclusion committee.

Dr. Moye holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia.

Anna B. Graham has been appointed dean of the Pellissippi State Community College’s Blount County campus in Tennessee. She joined the college in 2022 as director of annual giving and scholarships.

Graham received her bachelor’s degree in art history from Sewanee, The University of the South. She holds a master’s degree in arts administration from the University of New Orleans and a second master’s degree in counselor education, school counseling, and guidance services from the University of Tennessee.

Charity Accurso has been named dean of the College of Allied Health Sciences at the University of Cincinnati after serving as interim dean since July 2022. She has been with the university’s faculty for the past two decades serving as a professor, director of the medical laboratory sciences program, and unit head for the department of clinical and health information sciences.

Dr. Accurso is a three-time graduate of the University of Cincinnati where she received a bachelor’s degree in medical technology, a second bachelor’s degree in biology, and a Ph.D. in pathobiology.
