Jasmijn C. Bol, associate professor of accounting at the Freeman School of Business of Tulane University in New Orleans, received the Best Early Career Researcher Award from the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). The award was presented at the annual meeting of the American Accounting Association in National Harbor, Maryland. The award is given to a scholar, who joined a university faculty in the past five years, who has achieved the best overall record of research in management accounting.
Dr. Bol previously taught at the University of Illinois. She holds a master’s degree in international business from Maastricht University in The Netherlands and a Ph.D. from the University of Navarra in Spain.
Lily Ann Boruszkowski, who recently retired as an associate professor of cinema and photography at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, received the 2012 Outstanding Teacher Award from the University Film and Video Association. She taught at the university from 1982 until her retirement this summer.
Boruszkowski hold a bachelor’s degree and a master of fine arts degree from Northwestern University.
Jane B. Lancaster, Distinguished Professor of Anthropology at the University of New Mexico, received the Lifetime Career Achievement Award for Distinguished Scientific Contribution from the Human Behavior and Evolution Society. Professor Lancaster has taught at the University of New Mexico since 1985.
Dr. Lancaster, who holds a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, is the editor of the journal Human Nature: An Interdisciplinary Biosocial Perspective.
