In Memoriam: Luciana Antonia Opassi Bohne, 1939-2023

Luciana Bohne, a long-time faculty member at Edinboro University in Pennsylvania, died on August 9 after a brief illness. She was 83 years old.

At Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, she was tenured and taught for more than two decades, rising to the rank of University Professor.

Professor Bohne was a co-founder of Film Criticism in 1975, a journal that brings together cinema and media studies. While at Edinboro University she was a founding member of the North Africa/West Asia Studies Committee. After her retirement, Professor Bohne began writing for the online political and literary journal, Counterpunch.
