Petra Bonfert-Taylor was promoted to full professor of mathematics at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. Dr. Bonfert-Taylor has been teaching at Wesleyan since 1999. Her research is concentrated in geometric analysis and hyperbolic geometry.
Dr. Bonfert-Taylor conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Michigan after earning her Ph.D. at the Technical University of Berlin in Germany.
