Two Women Named to Faculty Posts

Petra Bonfert-Taylor was promoted to full professor of mathematics at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. Dr. Bonfert-Taylor has been teaching at Wesleyan since 1999. Her research is concentrated in geometric analysis and hyperbolic geometry.

Dr. Bonfert-Taylor conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Michigan after earning her Ph.D. at the Technical University of Berlin in Germany.

Mary Steffel was named to the marketing department faculty at the Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati. She was an instructor at the University of Florida and from 2005-09 she taught at Princeton University.

A summa cum laude graduate of Columbia University, Dr. Steffel earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in psychology at Princeton University. She earned a second Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Florida.
