Verna Fitzsimmons to Lead the Salina Campus of Kansas State University

Kansas State University has announced that Verna M. Fitzsimmons will be dean and CEO of the university’s Salina campus. She has been serving as an associate professor of applied engineering, sustainability, and technology at Kent State University in Ohio. From 2008 to 2010, she was interim dean of the Kent State engineering program. Earlier, she served on the faculty at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland State University, Wright State University, and the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Dr. Fitzsimmons holds bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees in industrial engineering, all from the University of Cincinnati.
