Ten Women Named to Administrative Posts in Higher Education

Katrina Reynolds was promoted to the newly created position of assistant dean of students for gender issues at Indiana University in Bloomington. She has been serving as assistant dean and director of student and staff services at the university’s Office of Women’s Affairs.

Reynolds holds bachelor’s and law degrees from Indiana University.

Kelle M. Stephens was named president of Dixie Applied Technology College in St. George, Utah, one of eight campuses that make up the Utah College of Applied Technology. She joined the administration at the college in 2006 and has been serving most recently as vice president for instruction.

Stephens is a graduate of Brigham Young University and holds a master’s degree from Utah State University.

MaryAnne Young was promoted to vice president for development at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. The appointment is effective in July. She has been serving as director of development since 1992. She been on the staff at the college since 1984.

Young is a 1981 alumna of Mount Holyoke.

Andria Derstine was appointed the John G.W. Cowles Director of the Allen Memorial Art Museum at Oberlin College in Ohio. The appointment is effective on June 15. She first came to the museum in 2006 and has been serving as curator of collections and curator of European and American art.

Dr. Derstine is a graduate of Harvard University. She earned master’s and doctoral degrees at New York University.

Tammara Durham was promoted to vice provost for student affairs at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. She has served in the position on an interim basis since last September. From 2004 to 2011, she was director of the University Advising Center.

Dr. Durham holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Missouri State University in Springfield. She holds a doctorate from the University of Kansas.

Sarah Stafford, professor of economics, public policy and law at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, was named director of the college’s Thomas Jefferson Program in Public Policy. She will assume her new duties on July 1. Professor Stafford has taught at the college since 1998.

A graduate of Georgetown University. Dr. Stafford earned a Ph.D. in economics from Johns Hopkins University.

MacKenzie Smith was selected for the post of University Librarian at the University of California Davis. She will begin her new role on June 1. She was research director for MIT Libraries and previously was manager of the digital library program at Harvard University.

Smith is a graduate of the University of Washington. She holds a master of library and information science degree from the University of Chicago.

Martha Kaeser was appointed director of clinical assessment at Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri.

Dr. Kaeser is a graduate of Missouri State University. She holds a master’s degree from Antioch University in Seattle and a doctorate in chiropractic from Logan.

Dani Porter-Lansky is the new director of development for the University of Arkansas Libraries. She was manager of prospect research and stewardship for the San Diego Zoo. She previously served as director of development for the libraries at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

A graduate of California State University, Porter-Lansky earned a master of library and information science degree from Louisiana State University.

Margaret Ann Morrison was named director of the School of Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Tennessee. She has been serving as interim director. Dr. Morrison joined the faculty at the university in 1995.

A graduate of Southern Illinois University, Professor Morrison earned a master’s degree from Ohio University and a Ph.D. at the University of Georgia.
