The Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University has announced the appointment of three women to associate or assistant dean positions.
Tamara Herrera is now associate dean of academic affairs with oversight of academic experience for students and faculty. Professor Herrera joined the faculty in 2001 and teaches courses on legal writing and method, legal advocacy, writing for law practice, Indian legal research, and first-year property. Professor Herrera is a graduate of Grinnell College in Iowa. She holds a master of library and information science degree from the Univerity of Arizona and a juris doctorate from the University of Nebraska.
Victoria Sahani is newly appointed as associate dean of faculty development where she will focus on supporting faculty research and innovation. She joined the faculty in 2017 after teaching at the law school at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. Earlier, Professor Sahani taught at Fordham Lw School in New York. Professor Sahani is a graduate of Harvard University, where she majored in psychology. She holds a juris doctorate from Harvard Law School.
Kathlene Rosier is the newly appointed assistant dean of institutional progress where she will focus her efforts on the student experience. She will continue to serve as executive director of the law school’s Indian Legal Program. Rosier has served as an assistant general counsel for the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation and as a tribal prosecutor for the Gila River Indian Community. She is a graduate of Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, and earned a juris doctorate at the University of Utah.
With over 25 years of experience in higher education, business, and public service, Dr. Kollmann has been serving as chancellor of the New Mexico State University Global Campus. She is slated to become the next president of Vermont State University in July.
Throughout her career, Leeds has gained more than 25 years of experience as a professor and university administrator. Currently, she serves as dean of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.
Dr. Recasner has over two decades of experience as a tenured faculty member and senior administration in higher education. She has been serving as the interim president of Seattle Central University.
