University of Southern Mississippi Faculty Members Win Nursing Book Award

Janie Butts and Karen Rich
Two members of the faculty at the School of Nursing at the University of Southern Mississippi received the Book of the Year Award in the Advanced Nursing Practice category from the American Journal of Nursing.
Janie Butts and Karen Rich co-authored the book entitled, Philosophies and Theories for Advanced Nursing Practice (Jones & Barlett Learning).
Dr. Butts is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Mississippi and a doctorate in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
