The seven women named to new faculty posts are Christina L. Boyd at Washington University in St. Louis, Sonya Smith at Howard University, Jeanie Murphy at Goucher College in Baltimore, Christine Julien at Virginia Tech, Kim Grainger at North Carolina State University, Kelly Lester at the University of Southern Mississippi, and Kathleen Gallagher at the University of Oklahoma.

“I'm honored to be the president of this dynamic organization that celebrates local and statewide history projects that uplift a more honest historical narrative that can serve as an inspiration to our state and nation,” said Dr. Tuuri.
Trena Wilkerson, a professor of mathematics education at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, received the Louise Hay Award from the Association for Women in Mathematics.
Dr. Walton has been serving as the institution’s provost and vice president for academic affairs and has worked at Grambling for over 30 years. Dr. Walton has been a professor of chemistry at the university. Her research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of molecules that exhibit liquid crystalline behavior and polymer synthesis. She holds two U.S. patents.
Taking on new duties are Keiki Kawaiʻaeʻa at the University of Hawai'i at Hilo, Maureen Edobor at the Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, Joanna Bosse at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Chileatha Wynn at North Carolina A&T State University, Kimberly Juanita Brown at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, Kelly Darnell at the University of Southern Mississippi, and Joli Livaudais at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
The women faculty members who are taking on new roles are Kathleen Horvath at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Patricia White at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, Brenda Jacobs at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, and Bridget Hayden at the University of Southern Mississippi.
