Three Women Scholars Appointed to Provost Positions at State Universities

Beth Fisher Ingram has been named executive vice president and provost at Northern Illinois University. She was provost and vice president for academic affairs at North Dakota State University. Dr. Ingram previously has held administrative and faculty roles at the University of Iowa and Cornell University.

Dr. Ingram is a graduate of the University of Iowa. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota.

Carol Kim has been named provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at the University at Albany in New York. Currently, she serves as associate vice chancellor for academic innovation and partnerships for the University of Maine System. She previously served in other leaderships roles at the University of Maine including director of the Graduate School of Biomedical Science and Engineering, vice president for research, and dean of the Graduate School.

Dr. Kim is a graduate of Wellesley College in Massachusetts. She holds a Ph.D. in microbiology from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Diana Rogers-Adkinson has been named provost and senior vice president of academic affairs at Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania. She currently serves as the dean of the College of Education, Health, and Human Studies at Southeast Missouri State University. Earlier in her career, she held academic positions at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and Wichita State University in Kansas.

Dr. Rogers-Adkinson is a graduate of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, where she majored in special education. She holds a master’s degree in community counseling and a Ph.D. in special education and counseling and human development both from Kent State University in Ohio.
