Vanja Malloy has been named director and chief curator of the Syracuse University Art Galleries. She currently serves as the curator of American art at the Mead Art Museum at Amherst College in Massachusetts.
Dr. Malloy is a graduate of Duke University, in Durham, North Carolina, where she majored in art history. She holds a master’s degree from the Sotheby Institute of Art in New York City and a Ph.D. in art history from the University of London’s Courtauld Institute of Art.
Adanna Johnson has been promoted to associate vice president for student equity and inclusion at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.. She has served as the senior associate dean of students and director of diversity, equity, and student success at Georgetown since the summer of 2018.
Dr. Johnson is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University in Texas, where she majored in psychology. She holds a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Marquette University in Milwaukee.
Marcella David has been named senior vice president and provost at Columbia College in Chicago. She currently serves as the Betty T. Ferguson Visiting Professor of Law at Florida State University.
Professor Davis is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, where she majored in computer science and systems engineering. She holds a juris doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School.
Jennifer Ho has been named director of the Center for Humanities and the Arts at the University of Colorado. Currently, she serves as a professor of English and comparative literature and associate director of the Institute for the Arts and Humanities at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
Dr. Ho is a graduate of the University of California Santa Barbara where she majored in English. She holds a master’s degree and Ph.D. both in English from Boston University.
Danisha Williams has been named director of admissions at Mississippi Valley State University. She was assistant dean of admission at Fisk University in Nashville.
Dr. Williams is graduate of Fisk University where she majored in sociology. She holds a master of public administration degree from Southern Illinois University and an educational doctorate in leadership and professional practice from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville.
Christina West has been promoted to associate vice chancellor for federal relations at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She was assistant vice chancellor for federal relations.
West is a graduate of Haverford University in Pennsylvania where she majored in political science.
Tanya Pont has been named interim director of alumni engagement at the University of Alaska Anchorage. She was the university’s associate athletic director of development.
Pont is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs where she majored in corporate communications.
Shayna Chabner has been named chief communications officer for the California Institute of Technology. She most recently served as the senior director of strategy and special projects in Caltech’s Office of Strategic Communications.
Chabner holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree both in journalism from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
Nikeshia Arthur has been named director of services for students with disabilities at Virginia Tech. She was the assistant director for civil rights compliance and deputy Title IX coordinator in Virginia Tech’s Office for Equity and Accessibility.
Arthur is a graduate of Virginia Tech where she majored in political science. She holds a juris doctorate from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Elizabeth “Liz” Griffin has been named chief of police at the University of California, Irvine. She has served as a member of the Long Beach Police Department since 1992, most recently as a commander.
Griffin is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton where she majored in criminal justice. She holds a master’s degree in emergency services administration from California State University, Long Beach.
Julie L. Franklin has been named vice president of student life at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She currently serves as the university’s director of residence life, a position she’s held since 1998.
Franklin holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations and an MBA both from Brigham Young University.
Katherine “Kitty” Green has been named vice president for advancement and executive director of Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation. She has served as president and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties since 2010.
Green holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA both from the University of South Florida.
