Lorraine Siggns, a distinguished psychiatrist who has spent the last 30 years as director of Mental Health & Counseling at Yale Health, will retire in June 2019. She first came to Yale in 1962 as a resident and became a staff psychiatrist in what was then called the Department of Mental Hygiene in 1965. In 1990, she was named clinical professor of psychiatry at Yale. Over the course of career she has been the recipient of numerous awards for clinical excellence, including the Stephen Fleck Award from the Yale Department of Psychiatry. Additionally, she has served on the editorial board of scholarly journals including the American Journal of Psychiatry and the Psychoanalytic Quarterly. Dr. Siggns holds a medical doctorate from the University of Melbourne.
Beverly Warren, president of Kent State University in Ohio, has announced she will step down from her position at the end of the current academic year. She has served as president of the university since 2014. Before coming to Kent State, Dr. Warren served as provost and senior vice president at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond for three years. Prior to that, she had served at VCU as a professor and head of the School of Education’s Division of Health, Physical Education and Recreation, and dean of the School of Education. Dr. Warren holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She earned a master’s degree from Southern Illinois University, a doctorate in higher education administration from the University of Alabama, and a Ph.D. in exercise physiology from Auburn University in Alabama.
Dr. Gregory was appointed interim president of Jackson State University in May 2025. Prior to that appointment, she was the university's provost and vice president of academic affairs.
Dr. Jones currently serves as vice president of education and chief academic officer at the College of Lake County. She is slated to become the community college's interim president on May 1.
Dr. Ballabina has over three decades of experience with Texas A&M University and the university system. She currently serves as the system's executive vice chancellor.
