A Change in Leadership at Keuka College in New York State

The board of trustees of Keuka College in Keuka Park, New York, has named Amy Storey as the interim president of the educational institution. She will take office on July 1. Jorge Diaz-Herrera, president of the college since 2012, is stepping aside due to a death in his family.

In accepting the appointment, Storey stated that “by working together, we will ensure that we do not lose momentum, We will not fall back and accept mediocrity, nor will we put aside our thirst for the innovation that will help us shape exemplary citizens and leaders to serve the nation and world.”

Keuka College, located in the Finger Lakes region of western New York State, enrolls about 2,000 students, including nearly 300 graduate students, according to the latest data supplied to the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 75 percent of the undergraduate student body.

Story has been serving since 2013 as vice president for advancement and external affairs and chief advancement officer at the college. Earlier, she held administrative posts at the University of Rochester and Binghamton University.

Storey is a graduate of Binghamton University, a campus of the State University of New York System, where she majored in management and finance.
