Tajana Rosing was appointed to the John J. and Susan M. Fratamico Endowed Chair in the School of Engineering at the University of California, San Diego. She joined the department of computer science and engineering at the university in 2005. Before joining the academic world, Dr. Rosing was a researcher at HP Labs.
Professor Rosing holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. at Stanford University.
Bonnie Berger was named the Simons Professor in Mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She holds a joint appointment in electrical engineering and computer science. She joined the faculty at MIT in 1992.
Professor Berger is a graduate of Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. She earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in computer science from MIT.
Mae C. Jemison was named to the Poling Chair of Business and Government in the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. She is a former professor of environmental studies at Dartmouth College. Dr. Jemison is the first woman of color to travel into outer space. She was a NASA astronaut for six years.
Dr. Jemison is a graduate of Stanford University, where she majored in chemical engineering. She received a medical doctorate at Cornell University.
Lynn S. Fuchs was named to the Dunn Family Chair in Psychoeducational Assessment at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Professor Fuchs joined the faculty at Vanderbilt in 1985 and was promoted to full professor in 1992.
Dr. Fuchs is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, where she majored in humanities. She holds a master’s degree from the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Minnesota.
