
At Penn, Dr. Falleti has served as director of the Latin American and Latinx studies program as well as founding director of the Center for Latin American and Latinx studies. She is also affiliated with the university’s Leonard Davis Institute for Health Economics, the gender, sexuality, and women’s studies program, and the Center for Research in Feminist, Queer, and Transgender Studies. Her scholarship centers on federalism, decentralization, authoritarianism, and qualitative methods. Dr. Falleti has published numerous scholarly articles and books, including Latin America Since the Left Turn (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2018) and The Oxford Handbook of Historical Institutionalism (Oxford University Press, 2016).
Dr. Falleti is a graduate of the University of Buenos Aires, where she majored in sociology. She holds a Ph.D. in political science from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
