Maureen Howard, associate vice president for communications and marketing at New Mexico State University, announced that she will retire on August 1. She has led the communications office at the university for the past 13 years.
Howard holds an MBA from Fordham University in New York.
Noelle Hunter, the director of college readiness and an instructor of developmental reading at Moorhead State University in Kentucky is leaving her post to become the executive director of the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety. Earlier in her career, she taught at West Virginia University and West Virginia Wesleyan University.
Dr. Hunter holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and master of public administration degree from Ohio University. She earned a Ph.D. in political science from West Virginia University.
Malinda Eccarius, an associate professor of practice and coordinator of the deaf education program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, is retiring. She has taught at the university for 21 years.
Dr. Eccarius is a graduate of the University of Iowa, where she majored in speech and dramatic arts. She holds a master’s degree in deaf education and a Ph.D. in psychological and cultural studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Ann Billings, the interim dean of admission and enrollment management at the Gulf Park Campus of the University of Southern Mississippi in Long Beach, has retired. She has worked at the university for 33 years. She began as an assistant switchboard officer.
Billings holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in education from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Dr. Cautin, provost of Sacred Heart University in Connecticut, brings over two decades of higher education experience to her new role as president of Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. She is slated to begin her presidency on July 1.
