Mojdeh Mehdizadeh was named president of Contra Costa CollegeMojdeh Mehdizadeh was named president of Contra Costa College in San Pablo, California. She has been serving as interim president since January.

Contra Costa College enrolls about 6,700 students in degree programs, according to the latest U.S. Department of Education data. Women make up 58 percent of the student body.

Before becoming interim president, Mehdizadeh was executive vice chancellor of education and technology for the Contra Costa Community College District, which includes Diablo Valley College and Los Medanos College. She has been with the community college district since 1998 and is a former student at Diablo Valley College.
