The Next President of Alverno College in Milwaukee

Andrea Lee was named the eighth president of Alverno College in Milwaukee. The women’s college, affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church, enrolls about 1,700 undergraduate students and nearly 700 graduate students. Dr. Lee served on the Alverno College board of trustees from 2012 to 2015.
For the past 18 years, Dr. Lee has served as president of St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota. During her tenure there, enrollments have increased by 20 percent and the university has raised more than $215 million. Before becoming president at St. Catherine University, Dr. Lee served as dean, chief financial officer executive vice president and interim president at Marygrove College in Detroit.
President Lee is a graduate of Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, where she majored in music and elementary education. She holds master’s and doctoral degrees in educational administration from Pennsylvania State University.
