Martha Narvaez Is the New President of the American Water Resources Association

Martha Narvaez, an associate policy scientist at Water Resources Agency of the Institute for Public Administration and the School of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Delaware, is the new president of the American Water Resources Association.

AWRAEstablished in 1964, the American Water Resources Association has over 2,100 members. The stated mission of the organization is to “promote an improved understanding of water resources and related issues by providing a multidisciplinary forum for information exchange, professional development, and education.” The organization publishes the Journal of the American Water Resources Association.

Narvaez has been on the staff at the University of Delaware since 2004. She is a graduate of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where she majored in biology. She holds a master of public administration degree in water resource policy from the University of Delaware.
