Doris K. Patneau has retired from her position as an assistant professor of anatomy and cell biology in the Center for Health Sciences at Oklahoma State University. She joined the faculty at Oklahoma State in 2001 after teaching for seven years in the department of neurobiology, pharmacology, and physiology at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Patneau holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, and a master’s degree and Ph.D. in experimental psychology, all from the University of Arkansas. She conducted postdoctoral research in the Laboratory of Developmental Neurobiology at the National Institutes of Health.
Peg Kennedy-Dygas has stepped down as dean of the College of Fine Arts at Ohio University in Athens. She will take a semester off and return to the university in the fall of 2016 as a professor of music. She has served as dean since 2013.
Dr. Kennedy-Dygas earned a bachelor’s degree in music from the Cleveland Institute of Music and a doctorate in voice and music history and literature from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University.
Linda Hennig has retired from the faculty of the College of Nursing at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She has served on the staff of the university for 26 years. From 2007 to 2013, Dr, Hennig was the founding associate dean of undergraduate affairs at the nursing school.
Dr. Hennig is a graduate of the University of Florida. She holds a master’s degree in rehabilitation nursing from New York University and an educational doctorate from the University of Central Florida.
Joan Morrison, assistant director of the Office of Alumni Relations at North Carolina Central University in Durham, is retiring from her post. She joined the staff at the university in 1978 with a post in the Office of Research, Evaluation, and Planning.
Morrison is a graduate of North Carolina Central University.
Dr. Dotson spent six years as president of Yuba College in California. Earlier, she served eight years as a senior administrator with Clover Park Technical College in Washington.
Dr. Shah is the Ursula Geller Distinguished Professor of Research in Cardiovascular Diseases and associate dean for translational research at the Duke University School of Medicine. She will serve as president-elect of the American Heart Association in 2026–2027, followed by a one-year term as president in 2027–2028.
Dr. Batten will become interim president of Horry-Georgetown Technical College on August 1. She most recently served as the two-year college's vice president for student affairs.
Dr. Kahanov became the twentieth president of Notre Dame de Namur University in California on July 1. She previously served as provost at Alvernia University in Pennsylvania, Stockton University in New Jersey, and SUNY Oneonta.
Most recently, Dr. Sanders served as vice president of experiential product management and interim vice president of product and technology at Western Governors University.
