The Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University has announced the release of an English-language version of DreamBuilder, an online learning program designed for women entrepreneurs. The program was established initially by the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation, in conjunction with the Thunderbird School, for women in Chile and Peru, two countries where Freeport-McMoRan has mining operations. The foundation says that “wherever Freeport-McMoRan operates, the company works to ensure that girls and women have suitable, relevant, and functional opportunities to be full participants in economic development and attaining greater levels of prosperity.”
The program is not only relevant for women who are thinking of starting a small business, but also those who already own small or medium-sized businesses and simply need additional support to increase their success and income. Allen Morrison, CEO and director general of the Thunderbird School of Global Management, said that “DreamBuilder has been tremendously successful in Latin America, and we are excited about what it can do to help women throughout the United States.”
Designed for women entrepreneurs who want to start or grow a small business, the online learning program is available throughout the United States in association with the Small Business Administration. The SBA will promote the program through its network of Women’s Business Centers across the United States. The 13-module English-language version is available online here.
