The Office of External Relations in the College of Engineering at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, has announced the appointment of two women to fundraising posts.
Julie Olsen was named associate director of development. Since 2013, she has been serving as associate director of development for the university’s College of Education and Health Professions. Before joining the staff at the University of Arkansas in 2013, Olsen was director of development for the EOA Children’s House in Springdale, Arkansas. Olsen is a graduate of Hastings College in Nebraska. She earned a master’s degree from the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas.
Tory Gaddy was promoted to assistant director of development. She was named the development manager for the College of Engineering in 2013. She joined the staff at the university in 2012 as an administrative support supervisor in university development. Gaddy holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas.
With more than 30 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Richtermeyer has spent the past three years as executive vice chancellor for academic affairs and provost at Rutgers University-Camden
Cheryl Norman was appointed president of Ridgewater College in Minnesota and Ellen Kennedy was named interim president of Cape Cod Community College in Massachusetts.
Dr. Scarlatta has led the University of Michigan-Dearbon on an interim basis for the past year. Pending approval from the board of regents, she is slated to become the university's permanent leader on May 22.
Nicole Reaves has been serving as executive vice president and chief programs officer at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina. On July 15, she is slated to become the first woman president of Schenectady County Community College within the State University of New York System.
The selected candidate should have expertise and experience in theoretical models in labor and public economics as well as in microeconometrics and programming.
