Christine Heenan, vice president for public affairs and communications at Harvard University, has announced that she will leave her post in February. She will become senior communications adviser for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Heenan joined the staff at Harvard in 2008. She is the former director of community and government relations for Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
Heenan is a graduate of Boston University, where she majored in journalism.
Anne Heinz, dean of continuing education and professional studies and associate vice chancellor for summer session and outreach and engagement at the University of Colorado Boulder, has announced that she will step down on June 30, 2015. She has been on the staff of the university for 26 years. She has also served on the faculty in the School of Education.
Dr. Heinz is a graduate of Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She earned a master’s degree and a doctorate in higher education administration from the University of Illinois.
With more than 30 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Richtermeyer has spent the past three years as executive vice chancellor for academic affairs and provost at Rutgers University-Camden
Cheryl Norman was appointed president of Ridgewater College in Minnesota and Ellen Kennedy was named interim president of Cape Cod Community College in Massachusetts.
Dr. Scarlatta has led the University of Michigan-Dearbon on an interim basis for the past year. Pending approval from the board of regents, she is slated to become the university's permanent leader on May 22.
Nicole Reaves has been serving as executive vice president and chief programs officer at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina. On July 15, she is slated to become the first woman president of Schenectady County Community College within the State University of New York System.
The selected candidate should have expertise and experience in theoretical models in labor and public economics as well as in microeconometrics and programming.
