
Roger Wakimoto, associate director of the Geoscience Directorate at the NSF said that “I wish to thank the university for allowing NSF to ‘borrow Carol.’ She will be a tremendous asset to the earth sciences community in her new capacity.”
Professor Frost joined the faculty at the University of Wyoming in 1983. In addition to teaching, she has held posts as director of the School of Energy Resources, associate vice president for research and economic development, vice president for special projects, and associate provost.
Dr. Frost is a graduate of Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, and holds a Ph.D. in earth sciences from Cambridge University in England.
