Cindy Hope, assistant vice president for research and director of the Office of Sponsored Programs at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, has been elected chair of The Federal Demonstration Partnership. The organization includes representatives of 10 federal agencies and 119 institutions that receive federal research grants. Members of the group cooperate to identify, test, and implement new, more effective ways of managing the more than $15 billion in federal research grants.
Hope holds bachelor’s degree in accounting and psychology from the University of Alabama. She has been on the staff of the university for more than 15 years.
