
Dr. Zakamska joined the faculty at Johns Hopkins in 2011. Previously, she conducted research at the Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory at Stanford University. Her current research focuses on the effect black holes have on their host galaxies.
Dr. Zakamska holds a master’s degree in theoretical physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. She earned a Ph.D. in astrophysics at Princeton University.
