Two Women Among the Three Finalists for Vice Provost for Diversity and Inclusion at Ohio University

Ohio ohio-university-bobcats-ipad-wallpaperUniversity has announced three finalists for the position of vice provost for diversity and inclusion. The candidates will all visit campus soon to participate in interviews and open forums with members of the university community. Two of the three finalists are women.

angeles-eamesAngeles L. Eames is the special assistant to the provost at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. Previously, she was executive director of assessment and program review at the university.

Dr. Eames is a graduate of Columbia College in South Carolina, where she majored in sociology. She holds a master’s degree in student personnel services and counseling from the University of South Carolina and a doctorate in higher education from Loyola University of Chicago.

DrShariClarke-SShari J. Clarke is vice president for multicultural affairs at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.

Dr. Clarke is a graduate of Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee, where she majored in sociology. She holds a master’s degree in college student personnel from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and a doctorate in educational leadership and higher education from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

Dr. Geneco comes to her new role from Tufts University in Massachusetts, where she has served as provost for the past four years. She is slated become the University at Buffalo's first woman president on August 10.
