Four Women in New Faculty Roles

Grace LaGrace La was named full professor of architecture with tenure at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University. She is the co-founder of La-Dallman Architects and has been serving as an associate professor or architecture and urban planning at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. She has been on the faculty at UWM since 1999 and was awarded tenure in 2005.

Professor La hold a bachelor’s degree and a master of architecture degree from Harvard University.

BrossKristina Bross, an associate professor of English at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, was appointed director of the university’s College of Liberal Arts Honors Program.

Dr. Bross holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Chicago.

charlotte-mason-230x345Charlotte H. Mason was named to the C. Herman and Mary Virginia Terry Chair of Marketing at the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. She is currently a professor of marketing, chair of the department, and master of the marketing research program at the university.

Professor Mason holds a bachelor’s degree, two master’s degrees, and a doctorate in business, all from Stanford University.

chi_Michelene Chi, Foundation Professor in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University, has been named director of the university’s Learning Sciences Institute. At the institute, researchers, scholars and practitioners from a variety of disciplines work together, sharing knowledge and solutions that seek to improve learning and quality of life for people of all ages.

Professor Chi holds a doctorate from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
