University of Nebraska Launches Online Resource Platform for Women in Agriculture

The Nebraska Women in Agriculture program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has recently launched Agri-Essentials, an online resource and networking platform for agricultural women throughout the state of Nebraska.

Housed within the university’s Institute for Agriculture and Natural Resources, the Nebraska Women in Agriculture program aims “to provide unbiased, research-based risk management education to female agriculture operators, consultants, landowners, service providers, and value added business owners in Nebraska.”

The new Agri-Essentials initiative will provide women in the agriculture industry with the opportunity to improve their agricultural practices, leadership skills, and business strategies. The online community will feature interactive learning models led by University of Nebraska faculty and industry experts, a discussion board for peer networking, and a resource library for information on a wide range of agricultural topics. Leaders with the Nebraska Women in Agriculture program plan to launch one new course every quarter.
