A Trio of Women Appointed to Administrative Roles in Higher Education

Noemi Custodia-Lora has been named vice president of academic affairs and workforce development at Urban College of Boston. Her background includes over two decades of academic and administrative experience in higher education. She comes to her new role from Northern Essex Community College in Massachusetts, where she most recently served as vice president of the Lawrence campus.

Dr. Custodia-Lora holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Puerto Rico and a Ph.D. in endocrinology and microbiology from Boston University.

Alicia C. Miles has been named the inaugural director of graduate admissions and recruitment initiatives at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She brings nearly a decade of experience in law school admissions to her new role.

Miles holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina, and a juris doctorate from Valparaiso University in Indiana.

Claudia Aguayo has been named general counsel for the University of Nevada Reno. She currently serves as the senior deputy district attorney for Clark County, Nevada. Prior to her current role, she spent two decades as an attorney with the City of North Las Vegas.

Aguayo received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Nevada and her juris doctorate from the University of California, Davis.
