Teresa Rich to Lead Yakima Valley College in Washington

Teresa Rich has been selected to serve as interim president of Yakima Valley College in Washington. She will begin her new role on August 1.

Yakima Valley College enrolls nearly 3,300 undergraduate students, 72 percent of whom are women.

Dr. Rich has over two decades of experience in higher education administration. She has spent the past 18 years with Yakima Valley College, serving as vice president for administrative services. In addition to her current role, she is as a member for the Washington Community and Technical College Strategic Technology Advisory Committee and the Association of Government Accountants and Rotary International. Additionally, she serves as chairman of the board for Apprisen, a nonprofit organization for consumer credit counseling.

Dr. Rich is a graduate of Central Washington University, where she received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in accounting. She holds a Ph.D. in education with a focus on community college leadership from Oregon State University.
