Michelle Majewski Is the New President of Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin

The board of trustees of Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, has announced the appointment of Michelle Majewski as the educational institution’s seventeenth president.

Marian University, founded by the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes and affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church, enrolls just over 1,300 undergraduate students and about 300 graduate students, according to the most recent filings with the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 69 percent of the undergraduate student body.

Dr. Majewski has been serving as acting president since April. She has been employed by the university for nearly 30 years. Dr. Majewski was awarded a three-year contract.

“Right now we are facing significant challenges, but Marian University is among the few institutions in Wisconsin undeniably ready to take them on,” President Majewski said. “With the group of dedicated faculty and staff walking our campus, we’re well-equipped to work together to find the solutions that will promote success for our students.”

Dr. Majewski earned a doctorate in psychology at Adler University in Chicago.
