Marsha Gable was selected to serve as interim president of Grossmont College in El Cajon, California. She will begin her new duties on January 1.
“I very much look forward to my leadership role at Grossmont College and engaging with an excellent community of students, staff, faculty, and administrators,” Dr. Gable said.
Grossmont College is a public, two-year educational institution that enrolls nearly 17,000 students, according to the most recent statistics furnished by the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 59 percent of the student body.
Dr. Gable has been serving for the past five years as vice president of student services at Grossmont College. She served for eight months in 2019 and 2020 as interim president of San Diego Miramar College. Earlier, Dr. Gable was dean of counseling services and admissions and records at Cuyamaca College in Rancho San Diego, California.
Dr. Gable holds a bachelor’s degree in social sciences and a master’s degree in sociological practices from California State University, San Marcos. She earned a doctorate in educational leadership at San Diego State University.
