Vesla Weaver has been named a Gilman Scholar at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. She has been a Bloomberg Distinguished Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins since 2017.
Dr. Weaver holds a Ph.D. in government and social policy from Harvard University.
Brooke Vick, who had served as a professor of social psychology at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, is the new associate provost for faculty and diversity initiatives at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Vick is a graduate of Colorado College, where she majored in psychology. She earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. In social psychology from the University of California, Santa’s Barbara.
Anne F. Harris, a professor of art history at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, for the past 21 years, has been named vice president for academic affairs and dean at Grinnell College in Iowa. She will begin her new role on July 1.
