Jerald Jones Woolfolk Appointed President of Lincoln University in Missouri

The board of curators of Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri, has selected Jerald Jones Woolfolk as the university’s 20th president. She will take office in May.

Lincoln University enrolls about 2,600 undergraduate students and slightly more than 100 graduate students, according to the latest U.S. Department of Education data. Women make up 57 percent of the undergraduate student body.

Dr. Woolfolk currently serves as vice president for student affairs and enrollment at the State University of New York Oswego. Prior to joining the administration at SUNY Oswego, Dr. Woolfolk was dean of students at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, vice president for student affairs at the College of Staten Island of the City University of New York, and vice president for student affairs and enrollment management at Mississippi Valley State University.

A native of Leland, Mississippi, Dr. Woolfolk is a graduate of Jackson State University, where she majored in psychology. She holds a master’s degree in counselor education from Iowa State University and a doctorate in urban higher education from Jackson State University.
