Barbara Krauthamer is the new dean of the Graduate School at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is an associate professor of history at the university and has been serving as associate dean for student inclusion and engagement for the Graduate School. Dr. Krauthamer joined the university’s faculty in 2008.
Dr. Krauthamer is the author of Black Slaves, Indian Masters: Slavery, Emancipation, and Citizenship in the Native American South (University of North Carolina Press, 2015). She holds a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, a master’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Ph.D. from Princeton University in New Jersey.
Judy Wiles was appointed interim dean of the Harrison College of Business at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. She is chair of the department of management and marketing at the business school and also serves as director of the Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Dr. Wiles will begin her service as dean on July 1.
Dr. Wiles has served on the university’s faculty for 32 years. She earned a bachelor’s degree and an MBA at Southeast Missouri State University and holds a doctorate in business administration from the University of Memphis.

Dr. Ploeger is a graduate of Ohio University. She holds a master’s degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and a Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University.

Dr. Sronce is a graduate of Drury University. She earned an MBA and a Ph.D. in business administration from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.

Dr. Pollock-Ellward is a graduate of the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. She earned a master’s degree in architecture at the University of Manitoba and a Ph.D. in planning at the University of Waterloo in Ontario.
