Women Appointed to Dean Positions at the University of Nevada and Berkeley College

Patsy L. Ruchala is the new dean of the Orvis School of Nursing at the University of Nevada, Reno. The nursing school has been a part of the College of Human and Community Resources for more than 20 years. Dr. Ruchala was named director in 2004. The nursing school was once again established as a separate entity with a dean on October 1.

Dr. Ruchala holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Governor’s State University in University Park, Illinois. She holds a doctor of nursing science degree from Rush University in Chicago.

evaskuka_berkeleycollegeBerkeley College, which operates eight campus in the New York City metropolitan area, has appointed Eva Skuka as dean of the School of Health Studies. Dr. Skuka has taught medical assistant classes at Berkeley College since 2011. She also has been serving as an evaluator for the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Skuka earned her medical degree at the University of Tirana in Albania. She also earned a Ph.D. from Capella University.
