Kelli Brown to Lead Valdosta State University in Georgia

The University System of Georgia announced that Kelli Brown will become interim president of Valdosta State University on June 1. Valdosta State University enrolls more than 9,000 undergraduates and more than 2,000 graduate students. Women make up 59 percent of the undergraduate student body.
Dr. Brown has been serving as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville. She has been provost there since 2013. Earlier, Dr. Brown was interim dean of the College of Health and Human Performance at the University of Florida.
Dr. Brown holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Toledo in Ohio. She earned a Ph.D. at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
