University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno Promotes Four Women Faculty Members

university-of-nevada-renoThe University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno has announced promotions for five faculty members. Four of the faculty members receiving promotions are women.

tami-brancampTami Brancamp was promoted to associate professor in the department of speech pathology and audiology at the medical school. Dr. Brancamp is a graduate of San Francisco State University in California and holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Nevada.

jennifer-hagen Jennifer Hagen was promoted to professor of internal medicine. She also serves as associate dean for faculty development. Dr. Hagen joined the faculty at the medical school in 1999. She is a 1973 graduate of the University of Nevada School of Medicine.

BKBarbara Kohlenberg was promoted to professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the medical school. She did her undergraduate work at the Claremont Colleges in California and earned a Ph.D. at the University of Nevada Reno.

sujatha-pitaniSujatha Pitani was promoted to associate professor of internal medicine. She is a graduate of V.V. Krishna College and the Andhra Medical College, both in India. She completed her residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in 2006.

On July 15, she is slated to become the first woman president of Schenectady County Community College within the State University of New York System.
