The Next Dean of Computer and Information Science at Northeastern University

brodleyCarla E. Brodley was named the next dean of the College of Computer and Information Science at Northeastern University in Boston. She is currently a professor of computer science at Tufts University and has a secondary appointment in the Clinical and Translational Science Institute at the Tufts University Medical Center. She chaired the department of computer science at Tufts from 2010 to 2013.

Before joining the Tufts University faculty, Professor Brodley taught electrical and computer engineering at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Dr. Brodley is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, where she majored in mathematics and computer sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is a member of the editorial boards of Machine Learning, the Journal of Machine Learning Research, and Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery.
