Donna E. Lisker was appointed dean of the college and vice president for campus life at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, effective July 14. Currently, she is the associate vice provost for undergraduate education at Duke University. Dr. Lisker began her career at Duke in 1999 as director of the Women’s Center.
Dr. Lisker is a graduate of Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, where she was a double major in English and mathematics. She holds a Ph.D. in English from the University if Wisconsin-Madison.
Peggy Agouris is the new dean of the College of Science at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. She has been serving as acting dean. Dr. Agouris joined the faculty at the university in 2007 and served as chair of the department of geography and geoinformation science. She is also the director of the university’s Center for Earth Observing and Space Research. Before joining the faculty at George Mason University, she was on the faculty at the University of Maine.
Dr. Agouris is a graduate of the National Technical University in Athens, Greece. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. from Ohio State University.
Marcella Runell Hall was named the next dean of students at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. She will begin her new role in June 1. Currently, Dr. Hall serves on the faculty of the Silver School of Social Work at New York University. In 2012, she founded the Of Many Institute for Multifaith Leadership at NYU.
Dr. Hall is a graduate of Ramapo College in New Jersey. She holds a master’s degree in higher education from New York University and a doctorate from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
AnnMarie LeBlanc was appointed interim dean of the College of Communication and Information at Kent State University in Ohio, effective July 1. Currently, she is director of the university’s School of Visual Communication Design.
LeBlanc is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She holds a master’s degree from Purdue University and a master of fine arts degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.

Dr. Scarlatta has led the University of Michigan-Dearbon on an interim basis for the past year. Pending approval from the board of regents, she is slated to become the university's permanent leader on May 22.
Nicole Reaves has been serving as executive vice president and chief programs officer at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina. On July 15, she is slated to become the first woman president of Schenectady County Community College within the State University of New York System.
