Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky, has announced the appointment of two women as associate deans.
Lisa Chappell was appointed associate dean of family nursing. Dr. Chappell has been a certified nurse practitioner for 18 years and has been on the staff at the university for the past five years.
Dr. Chappell holds a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Alabama Birmingham. She earned a Ph.D. in nursing at the Medical College of Georgia.
Anne Cockerham was named associate dean of midwifery and women’s health at the university. She has served on the faculty at the university for four years and was recently appointed a professor of history.
Jennifer Gaither, a lawyer by training, has been a Sullivan University faculty member for the past 25 years. She most recently served as the university's associate provost.
Dr. Crowley has served as provost at Ohio Wesleyan University since 2020. She is slated to become the nineteenth president of Kalamazoo College on July 1.
The three women named to provost positions are Nancy Marchand-Martella at the University of Northern Colorado, Lise Youngblade at Colorado State University, and Randi Storch at Western Oregon University.
Although it was initially founded as school for women, the University of Montevallo has never had a woman president. Now the university has reached a historic milestone and selected selected Michelle R. Johnston to serve as its next president.
The selected candidate should have expertise and experience in theoretical models in labor and public economics as well as in microeconometrics and programming.
