Three Women’s Colleges Rated as Having the “Best Professors”

logo1The Center for College Affordability and Productivity has produced a list of the 25 colleges and universities with the best professors. The list was compiled by taking the composite teaching ratings of professors as rated by students who took their courses and gave their evaluations at RateMyProfessors.com. Of course, students evaluation of who is a great teacher may be biased by factors other than teaching. For example, professors who tend to give high grades may receive better evaluations. Professors who tell good jokes or stories unrelated to the subject matter may be rated highly because their classes are entertaining.

Nevertheless, among the 25 colleges and universities rated as having the best professors are three women’s colleges: Wellesley College in Massachusetts, Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, and Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia.
