Cornell Professor Named Veterinarian of the Year

Sharon Center, a professor of medicine at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, was named the 2012 Outstanding Woman Veterinarian of the Year by the Association of Women Veterinarians Foundation. She was honored for her work in the diagnosis of common liver diseases and the use of new drug therapies to manage these diseases.

Dr. Center earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine at the University of California at Davis.
