Two Women Chosen as Finalists for the Presidency of Felician College

Felician College is a liberal arts, co-educational, Catholic, Franciscan college located on two campuses in Lodi and Rutherford, New Jersey. The college has selected two women as the only finalists for the presidency of the institution. The candidate selected will replace Sister Theresa Mary Martin, who is stepping down this July.

Angela Durant is currently provost at Saint Xavier University in Chicago. She has held that post since July 2008. Previously, she was dean of the college of arts and sciences and academic associate to the provost at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois. She has over 30 years of experience in higher education administration. She has held positions at National-Louis University, Aurora University, Fordham University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, and the University of Missouri.

Dr. Durant is a graduate of New Jersey City University. She holds master’s and doctoral degrees in sociology from Fordham University in The Bronx, New York.

Anne M. Prisco is vice president for enrollment management at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She has held this position since 2006. Previously, she was vice provost at Hunter College, a campus of the City University of New York.

Dr. Prisco is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Arizona. She holds an MBA from Fordham University and a master’s degree and a Ph.D. from Columbia University.

Both candidates are visiting Felician College this week.

Caroline Attardo Genco Named the First Woman President of the University at Buffalo

Dr. Geneco comes to her new role from Tufts University in Massachusetts, where she has served as provost for the past four years. She is slated become the University at Buffalo's first woman president on August 10.
