Pennsylvania State University reports that there are now 123 sexual harassment resource officers systemwide. Every college, campus, and administrative unit in the Penn State system has at least one sexual harassment resource officer. These officials are full-time Penn State employees who take on this role in addition to their regular duties.
These officials are available to talk with students, faculty, or staff members on issues of sexual harassment. They undergo annual training on sexual harassment issues and are well-versed in policies and procedures dealing with sexual harassment on campus and in the workplace.
